At Brownlow, our design philosophy centres on creating cohesive, functional, and deeply personal spaces. The Watersands project is a prime example of our comprehensive turnkey service, where we reimagined an entire master suite—including the bedroom, dressing room, and ensuite bathroom—to create a unified and luxurious sanctuary.
The brief called for a complete transformation, managed from initial concept to final installation, turning a series of disjointed rooms into a harmonious retreat.
This project involved significant architectural changes, bespoke furniture design, and meticulous project management. By taking a holistic view, we unlocked the floor plan’s true potential, crafting a space that is not only beautiful but perfectly attuned to our client’s lifestyle.
The Bedroom and Dressing Room
With a new, expansive layout established, we focused on creating a bedroom that serves as a tranquil haven.
A New Layout for Living
A key decision was to relocate the bed. This strategic move unlocked considerable space for a dedicated dressing area, designed to house our client’s cherished collection of clothing, shoes, and bags.
This redesign also created room for a comfortable lounge zone within the bedroom, complete with an elegant end-of-bed sofa by Andrew Martin, an occasional chair, and a large television for moments of relaxation.
The Ensuite
The en-suite bathroom underwent arguably the most dramatic transformation, becoming a calming and serene retreat.
Precision in Simplicity
Achieving a look of such simplicity required meticulous planning. The tiling is a masterclass in precision, with fantastically tiny grout lines creating a uniform surface that enhances the sense of space.
To further this effect, we formed the shower tray, drain, shower seat, and integrated storage niches from the same tile. This technique removes visual clutter and creates clean, unbroken lines that are incredibly soothing.
