Chaddlington House

This generously proportioned rural property was a delight to refurbish. The handmade kitchen in Prestbury shows the vast space available, a great space to cook and entertain.

When we first set eyes on this property, this kitchen space was divided in two rooms. Our brief was to create a bigger cooking space but also keep it from looking vast and vacant. Once the adjoining wall was removed, we ensured all nibs and RSJ’s were covered by cabinetry so it appears the room has always been one. This happened to create a perfect nook for a walk-in pantry!

These crittall style pantry doors were created from solid oak and sprayed in a liquid metal paint so we could achieve the look of metal whilst keeping a very thin frame.

The pillowed limestone floor and rubbed brass hardware gives this space a rustic charm that oozes character. This family home not only looks beautiful but serves daily family life.

We feel the dark blue corner of cabinets helps integrate the dining into the handmade kitchen, therefore creating one fluid entertaining space. The glazed wine cabinets are trimmed with a brass frame beading to give a little bit of glamour to them and separate them from the adjoining breakfast cabinets.
