The Cheshire Farmhouse

PECKFORTON

Bespoke Farmhouse Kitchen Cheshire

Nestled on a quiet country lane between 2 medieval castles, you couldn’t pick a more idyllic setting for this bespoke farmhouse kitchen project Cheshire. The farms origins date back to the 17th century. Having renovated part of an adjacent barn, we were tasked with bringing the main house into the modern era, whilst maintaining a style in keeping with the farm’s rural location.

With the low and short windows, which are characteristic of a farm house of this era, we suggested removing the false beams which were clad to the ceiling.

We replaced these beams with a zonal coffered ceiling design which were enveloped by recessed LED lighting. This created an additional source of much needed light which also added a beautiful feel of elegance.

The necessity of an extractor fan was vital and posed a challenge to the design as bringing the ceiling down any further would darken the room more.

The innovative use of dropped ‘C’ shaped studwork created the void necessary for an extractor whilst also providing the frame work for beautiful olive colour tile to encase it. This wonderfully heightened the impact of the customer’s prized possession… their AGA.
