Set within the quaint village of Great Barrow about 3 miles outside of Chester, the Brownlow showroom offers a glimpse into our workspace where we design and manufacture all our bespoke kitchens and furniture.
The juxta-position created by mounting these contemporary wall units next to a more traditional style panelling is indicative of a more eclectic Californian style kitchen. This varied, characterful styling is perfect for the working family home as its very forgiving and doesn’t feel like a showroom which can sometimes have a cold ambience.
Within our kitchen we were bound by very few constraints and were able to think in a more abstract way, utilising unusual materials and adopting exciting techniques. One of these techniques is sand blasting. This uses a fine abrasive to wear away the softer sections of a wood grain to leave you with a heavily textured finish which can be stained or lacquered.
