Nestled in rural Cheshire, this classically built new build was the new adventure of a family of four moving from the hustle and bustle of city life. The kitchen design brief we had to adhere to was “Classic Cheshire style with a modern twist” which was a theme throughout the whole house, not just the kitchen.
New build houses can often fall into the bracket of ‘characterless’ however this was an exception.
The client’s taste in furniture and design gave the home an inviting feel which surrounds you with warmth provided by the aged brass hardware, tumbled edge limestone tiles and dark tan leather.
The limited wall space in the main kitchen space was a design problem that was solved by designing a large media/storage unit which houses not only the TV and DVDs but also the dry food within the left-hand double cupboard. This piece really connects the two spaces and introduces a bold, striking colour which immediately catches the eye
