Full of cool and eclectic posters, statues and décor, this Edwardian semi played host to a fun and exciting interior designer just outside Chester. Her confidence and enthusiasm made the kitchen an absolute pleasure to design and we were guaranteed a fabulous outcome, no matter what happened.
This modern kitchen was the spark from which a whole house renovation started.
The era of the house would generally lend itself to a more traditional style kitchen but with the use of a rich, textured cabinet material, we managed to create a truly contemporary space whilst paying homage to the style and personality of the house.
Using entirely birch plywood for the manufacture of the cabinetry was a stroke of genius.
The laminations within each board burst through the chocolate coloured stain adding that touch of detail to each door and drawer front. The plywood was the catalyst on which every other material was chosen. From the porcelain worktops to the antique bronze mirror, every material was carefully chosen to ensure each brought something to the party. It was a very fun party… just ask the flamingo.
